Buying all four games on release cost me roughly $50 each (EotN was a little less, maybe? which is why I said ~$200, roughly that number!)

Not really sure what point you're trying to make, but it's easy to have spent $200 on Guild Wars. A lot of us bought the games as soon as they were released, which is easily $180, not including taxes or collector's editions. Add a couple character slots or whatnot and there's you're limit.
Anyway, I agree with Kakumei and many others who made the same point... Anet is a business. Sure, we spent our one time cash, but by keeping us happy, they're getting more money whether it's a monthly fee or not. If I enjoy playing the game, I will suggest a friend buy it, who in turn suggests his friend buy it, and so on and so forth. If I'm unhappy, I either won't mention it, or will suggest that they DON'T buy it. I'm sure the latter is bad for business...

Reasons I believe the quest must be broken:
It was advertised as a Halloween quest chain, yet it is the only thing of the Halloween event that still remains.
The quest giver disappeared and had to be be put back into the game to even get the last quest AND the last quest did not require the previous quests to be done to get.
No time-line when this waiting game will be up, just a general days, compared to the line giving for the rest of Halloween, which told when the event would be available and when the towns will be cleaned up and returned to normal.

... and the reward includes 100 ToT-bags which doesn't really make sense if it wasn't supposed to be a Halloween quest.

Indeed I do. I find this whole situation amusing
I'm looking forward to this quest, but a few weeks wait (or longer) is no big deal. They have the important job of nerfing Broken Form first.

Yeah well, Broken Form has been like this for nearly a year now. You sure you want to wait that much longer for the update of this quest?

you're more obsessed by sf than any of the farmers that actually use it... if I could, I'd feel really sorry for you
anyway, I just hope the fight with dhuum will be fun and challenging

Judging by his skills challenging yes, fun maybe? Though until they update the quest I'm going to try and finish up my gem collecting so I can get my armbrace.

Actually no. I couldn't really give a fig here. I barely play the game these days and have more cash that I have asperations to use. I comment as a fairly neutral observer here, and SF is so broken it's beyond belief.
Think of all the resource, dev and testing time, ANet have wasted trying NOT to nerf this dreadful skill. Then think of all the skills they have nerfed to oblivion with just the slightest hint of imba. It really makes no sense.
This whole Halloween quest chain seems to have been designed as another botched attempt to limit this broken skill.
